Rupali Wadhwa, BDS, DMD, MS, Cert. Ortho
Dr. Rupali Wadhwa moved with her family to Short Hills, New Jersey, in 2006 to begin private practice after 8 years in Pittsburgh as Assistant Professor and Research Director of Orthodontics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Wadhwa was in active clinical practice while there and remained on the staff for the years following. Dr. Wadhwa is a Board Qualified Orthodontist who earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine and Master of Science in Orthodontics from Oklahoma University School of Dental Medicine in 1997.
The commitment to continuing education is evident not only by the number of articles she has written but by the acquisition and use of the latest in technology in her offices. Dr. Wadhwa has authored numerous research and clinical papers and abstracts in a variety of peer-reviewed journals, including the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, The Angle Orthodontist, the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, the Australian Journal of Orthodontics, and the European Journal of Orthodontics. She is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Wadhwa and her staff cherish the challenges that orthodontics provides. From working with young children, to adolescents and adults, each case is very different and provides unique challenges and rewards. During this time it has been demonstrated over and over again that she treats each person like a celebrity and provides every patient with special individual attention. Just as important, her scientific and artistic command of each procedure provides patients with a unique advantage.
Dr. Wadhwais deeply involved in supporting the community that she lives in. Throughout the year she takes the time to educate students by visiting local schools andhosting field trips to her office. Her involvement with the community extends to many local charities and patient activities.
Dr. Wadhwa lives in Essix County, New Jersey, with her husband and two daughters. In her spare time she enjoys biking, hiking, swimming, reading and traveling.
